Established Awards
To date, the Anniversary Campaign has established the following awards:
CMS Music Technology Initiative Award - The CMS Music Technology Initiative Award is part of the CMS Anniversary Campaign providing recognition annually at the CMS National Conference. The award will be given annually to an active CMS member who has demonstrated exceptional initiative in integrating technology in college music instruction, preparing students to share their musicianship with a global community that is increasingly dependent on technology, and providing a model of effective practice to education, industry, and the public at large.
Robby D. Gunstream Education in Music Award – The Robby D. Gunstream Education in Music Award, the first honorary fund of the Anniversary Campaign, was established by past and present Officers and Directors of The College Music Society to recognize the twenty-five years of service by the Society's Executive Director. The Award will be given to a higher education music faculty member or music unit for an imaginative and effective program of interaction with a local or area organization. Contributions to increase the endowed fund are welcome.
