Memorial, Honorary, and Celebratory Gifts
Gifts given in memory, honor, or celebration of someone you love or admire (or both!) or of a special event in your life are effective means of perpetuating important legacies. Such a gift may be established in two ways:
Annual Awards in Perpetuity – By establishing an endowed fund, an award can be given annually in perpetuity. The minimum amount to establish such a fund is $5,000 which will generate an award of $250 each year. Likewise, a gift of $10,000 will provide for a $500 annual award, a $20,000 gift a $1,000 award.
Annual Award for a Specific Number of Years – A fund may be established which will provide a specific amount to be given each year for a finite number of years. The minimum amount to establish such an award is $1,000. For example, $1,000 may be given and four $250 awards offered each year for four years. Likewise, a gift of $5,000 will provide a $1,000 award for five years.
